Hertz Prestige Collection:
Started in 2001 with a few big names,

Just recently though, Hertz started up with the “Supercars”.

The actual number of the high end rentals: 200
The Hertz company did their market research by adding a few of the Lotus Evora auto’s to some of their lots in Germany, Spain, and The United Kingdom. The study began in 2011 and they put the cars in 15 of their locations. The majority of these retail locations were in airports.
Enterprise Rental Company offered some similar choices back in 2005, in their west LA locations.
The Bentleys and Aston Martins were a big hit.
Enterprise now has 13 different retail locations that offer high end rentals, in the US.
Their marketing trick: Display the fancy vehicles very obviously at the airport. People will switch their choices on the spot.
In the UK, certain types of vehicles were very popular:
AvisBudget offers a Prestige and Select Series and customers preferred these,
Jaguar
BMW
Mercedes SLK Sport
McLaren MP4-12C
And the cost?
As the saying goes: “If you have to ask, it is too much”
The Mercedes SLK goes for $200 a day.
The McLaren might cost you $1300 a day.
Sometimes making a big impression is very important and often showing up in a fancy car is a great way to do just that.
